Variable in a template not displaying

Hi

I am creating templates in CP4 for a series of tutorials.

I am using variables for Project name, Slide label and slide number of total slides.

When I preview  the template or a slide based on the template Project name just displays the variable itself Slide label isn't there at all but the number and total of slides is OK.

I have checked the order of textcaption on slides and different text colour to background.  Anyone know where I have gone wrong?

Thanks

Your question is not very clear to me. I understand that you inserted system variables in Text Captions such as

    $$cpInfoCurrentSlide$$

    $$rdinfoSlideCount$$

    $$cpInfoProjectName$$

    $$cpInfoCurrentSlideLabel$$

How did you preview the project/slide/template? I tried this out in a CP-project and the values of the variables showed all right. The slide label will not be shown if there is no slide label defined but the standard number of the slide is kept. In this image the value of the slide label will show for slide 1&2, but not for slide 3 (no label defined).

Seem to have a workaround.  I put the variables in a text caption placeholder.  So I deleted these and replaced them on the template with a standard text caption holder......duh
