Various, Inconsistent Issues Publishing to MP4 (Captivate 7)

Hi,

I completed my project and published it to MP4 and Widescreen YouTube HD. The project was perfect!  Then I went back in to make a handful of MINOR changes- some text edits and an increase volume on one slide. Now each time I publish the project, I get a different random issue: audio skips, skips in my software simulation, and even the "header" graphic on the top 3 inches of the screen disappearing. When I publish again, the one random issue is no longer there, but instead a different issue. (Talk about maddening.)  I even quit out of CP and rebooted my computer to no avail.

Any idea why I am having these random ghostly issues? Does this sound like a corrupt project file?  I just want to publish one clean version to send to my client!

Thanks,

Katie

It's me again. I cleaned out my Adobe cache by downloading the Adobe Clear Cache application, and I am not sure if that is the ultimate fix, but I was able to publish a clean, issue-free version to send to my client. Now I can go to sleep. : -)

Can you provide a link/description of this application and its purpose?

    I empty my cache frequently.

I am experiencing stuttering audio when exporting to MP4 (or doing a YouTube upload)

Sorry for the late reply Douglas.  Here is a link to an article as well as the utility, "dcache" from Adobe. Basically, you install it and run it, and it deletes all those huge cache files that Adobe creates when generating Captivate projects. As soon as I ran it, my project ran fine again. Hope it helps you as well.
