Video Bitrate/Size

Hello.

I'm encoding 18 files for a client that makes up about 2 hours worth of footage, give or take. The final FLV size is 320x240, and so I was going to use normal web bitrates: audio @ 128kbps and video @ 1000 kbps. All in all though, the files will probably be 1 gb in size. That being said, would that weigh down the presentation heavily when I post it on the web, or because the bitrates are low enough that most people should be fine to progressively download/stream it, will that be ok?

Thanks!

-Mike

Hi Mike

You probably don't realize it, but the forum you posted to is dedicated to questions about Audio and Video used within an Adobe Captivate project. I suspect what you are looking for are some more general guidelines for video on the web. You might do better re-posting this question over in a forum dedicated to the product you used to massage the video. Perhaps Adobe Premiere Elements? Premiere Pro?

Cheers... Rick

No, this is about encoding the video for use within captivate.

Thanks,

Mike
