Video course completion options

Hello, I have a series of courses that consist of a single video. I'd like to ensure the learners complete most of the video before receiving completion credit in the LMS. I also would like to allow the user free control of the playback while watching the video. How could I accomplish this?

In the past, I used a simple trick of adding a question slide after the video asking the users to confirm they watched (played, as I can't glue them to their screen!) the whole video and they are ok to close the course. Yes, means correct answer and credits them.
