Hi,

I’m building a course with a lot of video content. The videos need to pause at particular times to present the student with extra info etc related with the video they’re watching. For some reason when the video is uploaded to my LMS the video doesn’t pause at the correct time (the time stipulated on my timeline) Originally I thought it could be down to the video content buffering so I made the video and project file as small as possible.

I’ve noticed though that the video often pauses too early as well as too late by a second or so. Therefore I can’t imagine the problem is video related. I’ve also experimented with the pre-loader but it doesn’t seem to make any difference if it’s set to 10 % or 100%.

Many thanks

Is this a question about Captivate? If yes, which version?

I suspect you inserted the video as multi-synchronized video? For the use case you are describing, I would have the 'splits' on the end of a slide, that way you can Pause the next slide On Enter.

    version 9.

Yes multi-synchronized video. I've already tried that approach of splitting the video but the pauses are still out. It's not by much but it's really important they occur at exactly the time stipulated

9.0.2.437? Do you stream the video?
