Question

Video demo editing

How do you change the mouse from a pointer to a hand on click? So it must move as a pointer but then change to a hand when it clicks?

Also to add audio to each screen do I need to trim after each screen to add?

Is the output quality of a video demo that much better than a software simulation published as an mp4? I really like the pan and zoom feature of video but seems like editing in video mode is far more difficult that software simulation.

Any advice will be enormously appreciated.

Sorry but I'm confused by your question. In the subject I see 'Video Demo', which is a pure video. But in the explanation you talk about 'screens', which I understand you mean to talk about slides. In a Video Demo you have only one video, one slide. Can you specify whether you are talking about a 'Video Demo' file which has an extension cpvc, or about a 'Software Simulation' file created as a cptx-file. The last one has slides, the first one is one long video.

The last paragraph talks about both. If you want a pure video, go with Video Demo, not with software simulations, mode Demo.

    Hi

I am talking about a Video demo where it is one long recording. I am recording a system with screens and the audio changes for each screen. I like the pan and zoom effect of a video and also want to publish to MP4 in the best quality-so hence understand I should use a video demo to record our system. However I have separate audio files recorded for each of OUR system screens and am asking how I can add separate audio files in the video at the relevant points where the screens change.

    Thanks

    Warm Regards

This would be my work flow:

    • split up the video demo in different clips, one for each screen
    • you can eventually have a transition effect between two clips, or add a static object (like a title)
    • put the playhead at the start of a video clip
    • use Audio, Import, Project narration and import the appropriate audio clip
    • move playhead to the start of the next video clip and insert the next audio clip

Project Narration is on level of the clip, not the total video demo slide.
