Video Demo Question

Hi there

 

I've recorded a video demo and I am on camera narrating the steps for an application. In Captivate is it possible to have the screen setup so the video appears in a separate panel on the left and the content appears on the right.  I'm not a fan of the video in a thumbnail on the software screen.  Can this be done creating a template?

    If by a 'template' you mean a cptl-file my answer is immediately: do never use a cptl file.

    However you can create a master slide and use a method I described in this blog post, which was made to embed a software simulation in a bigger project. Have a look at see if this is a valid option. I don't really know what you mean by 'content'? Will that be a static image of the application for which you have a video demo to show a workflow? Do you need to publish to HTML5? Have also a look at the possibilities of an interactive video as alternative.
