Video demo stops at trimmed section when recording audio

When I am recording in captivate 2019, the video demo stops at the trimmed section of the video. I can continue to record, but I can't follow my video demo. I tried clicking play to push the video demo but it dings in error because the recording window is open and active. Are there any solutions to this issue?

    Sorry, but I don't understand your question...can you try to explain? What do you mean by 'trimmed section'? Trimming is what happens during the editing, not the recording.

    Thanks! Yes, the video is edited using Trim. When I am AUDIO recording and the video demo is playing, the video stops where I have trimmed it, in the video. So, the video is stopped but, I am still recording.
