Video does not play when I preview Captivate project

Guys,

I downloaded a video from YouTube with iTube Downloader to include in my Captivate project (have done that before a few times with success); the video plays in the project library but not once I insert it in slide and preview slide. I deleted the original slide and rebuilt it: it has a box of text and the video to the right of it. As I said, I have done this before but in this module it is not working. I am previewing it in Google Chrome as I have done since Module 1 (this is Module 5), I am working on Apple and using Captivate 9. No extensions in Google Chrome. Any ideas? Thanks!

Denise

Hi Denise,

This is just a suggestion, but why not try embedding the Youtube video in a Web object or Youtube interaction and let it stream at runtime?

Also, is the video having the issue any different from the other videos you have downloaded? Was there any error in the download process?

Is your preview in SWF or HTML5?

Thanks,

Mohana

Thanks, Mohana. I actually downloaded video a couple of times trying to rule out any problems there, but all went well. The video actually plays on the review panel in the library... Since the project is responsive, I bet the preview is on HTML5. I have not had any problems with videos that were downloaded before. Thanks!
