Video Size adjustment in Captivate

Hello, New to the program and want to reduce size of the videos (to less resolution) all the videos currently embedded on the projects.

Is there any way I can do it within the program? or do I have to manually pull the file out and reduce it and put it back in?

You could, of course, change the size of the videos on the slide within Captivate, but that won't affect the physical size (Mb) of the video itself of course.

To do the editing you suggest, you need an external program.

You may be able to launch Adobe Media Encoder (AME) directly from Captivate though... If you locate a video in the Library, then right-click, do you see an 'Edit with...' option?

If so, you should be able to set that with AME so it launches, you adjust the settings, republish the video, then when you return to CP the video itself is updated in the project.

I've never TRIED that workflow but could it be that smooth?

Hi Erik,

Thank you for the reply..I did locate the videos in the library but did not have an option of Edit with when right click the file. 

Any thoughts? Is it because I do not have AME?

If you have Captivate installed, you also have Adobe Media Encoder (AME).  It's part of the Captivate install package.

Look in your Program Files directory under Adobe > Adobe Media Encoder.  If for some strange reason it isn't there, you can download and install it for free.
