Videos won't play after publishing for devices in Captivate 9

We are creating education for patients to access on a Kindle.   When I preview on my desktop, the videos work fine.  However, after I have published the project for devices and save all corresponding videos to a folder and the project gets uploaded to our internet site, the videos won't play.  Since I've never done this before, I could use some help troubleshooting what the problem is.  Is it a resolution, encoding or some other problem easily fixed?  I appreciate your assistance.

    Hi Christy,

That narrows it down some. The issue is not with Captivate or your video, but more to do with your SharePoint restrictions I suspect. When you say " a URL that links" are you using the "On Your Computer File Path" option or the actual Adobe Media Streaming Service which you would need an URL for.  I am assuming you are using the "Insert Video" option and not a Web Object.

This will determine exactly what your issue is.

    Cheers

    Hi Christy,

I suspect there is no resolution because there is not enough info to diagnose. So with that being said can you answer the following:

    1. How big are the videos in size (mgs) ?
    2. What version of Captivate are you using?
    3. Is it Windows or Mac?

    Cheers

I have tried several options. After some additional trials, this is what I have found in building the project on my local drive.

Inserting a video as an event video with a URL that links to a local files works in preview and in the published version on my local drive.

Inserting a video as an event video with a URL that links to sharepoint does not work in preview nor does it work in the published version

    HI Karen,

Couple of questions. What are the video formatted to? (MP4,MOV, AVI etc)

How big are the videos (30 mgs, 100 mgs etc)

    Cheers

I have the same problem.  The videos play fine until the project is published and then they won't open.  My screen looks like this:

My video was inserted into the project as an MP4 file.  Please help!!  I have seen others make similar comments with no available solution posted.
