Question

View constantly jumps to middle of the slide while working

I am working on a large slide (1000x3000) in Captivate 9 on a Mac running Yosemite. Whenever I do an action outside of the center of the slide the view immediately jumps to the middle of the slide. I then have to scroll back to whatever I was working on. This really slows me down and I am wondering why it does this and if there is any way to stop it.

I tried searching the forums for something similar but didn't find anything.

This bug was introduced with CP8, and apparebntly is not logged very often by users, which makes it less important for the developer team. I have logged this several times, because it is very annoying especially since the so useful Adobe Hand tool is lacking in Captivate. In versio 7 when an object was selected, it would remain in focus whatever change in zoom percentage. From CP8 on there is always the jump to the center of the slide. Please, please, log that bug as well.

Dang, so frustrating. I have gone ahead and reported it. This makes the creation of certain types of projects almost impossible. Might have to move over to Articulate.
