Is there a setting in Captivate 2 to view .swf in something other than Flash Player 6? I've been publishing in either FP7 or 8 and I've got 8 loaded on my computer but everytime I view a Captivate movie, it drops down to Flash Player 6. Thanks.

Hi JaneBelcher and welcome to our community

Captivate 2 has a setting that allows you to target your output to a specific version of the Flash Player. You have the choice of Flash Player 6, 7 or 8.

However, I believe that what is used at playback time depends entirely on what the user has installed. I am aware that there are different types of Flash player. One is a browser plugin. I'm not totally sure what other types there are, but I'm guessing it's possible to have a different version level for each type? Maybe you simply need to update your player version.

    Cheers... Rick
