VTML showing in Closed Caption - How do I make it not show in the CC?

Question

I am creating a course in Captivate, and the text to speech (neo voices) is mispronouncing some proper nouns badly. I am using VTML to make them pronounce these words correctly. However, this VTML code is showing up in my subtitles which is not acceptable.

How do you change the pronunciation of words in text to speech Neo voices, without having the VTML code show up in the closed caption text?

Also, is there a way to export my closed captions from Captivate to an srt file?
