Question

Watermarks/Blurred Lines on SCORM published file.

When I publish my captivate file there is no problem, however when i then upload it to my LMS system there are watermarks or faded lines etc on some of the slide.

I have uploaded a few files with issue to separate LMS systems and the issue still recurs. I have tried adding in extra slides or taking away slides to eliminate the problem as well, however this has not worked. It seems to be an issue that occurs when in SCORM format and uploaded to any LMS system.

It is most definitely an issue derived from captivate.

There are no copy and pastes on any of the slides where this is being shown.

Could someone please hep me with this

Hello Amya,

If there are only a few images with the faded lines.

Why not take a screenshot of those images in the application and then replace the one that are faded ( same dimension).

"Snag it or Lightshot ".

Lightshot is very simple screenshot app, you can install it or used in the browser.

I used it both ways.

Replace all the images that are faded, with new screenshot.

Make sure that there are the same dimension.

Hello Lilibiry,

Usually when I create a demo, it to be used as a guide.

I redo the whole demo from the ground up, But I take all the images from the demo.

For eg: sometime you need to cover the user name,  email, or any other critical info.

In order to do that you need to create your own action. (text caption, smartshape etc)

there is more than one way to get to Rome.

Hello Amya

This is a real hard question.

Something out left field, by the way are you using copyright images and they are calling home.

Maybe the watermark is an overlay.

Where do you see the watermark?

Like Paul said, provide a screenshot.

Can you provide a screenshot of this phenomenon? That might help.

Need lot more information:

  • Which version do you use (full version number)?
  • Are you creating a responsive or a non-respolnsive project?
  • Which type of images are you using? Were they created in exact the size they are used in Captivate if they are bitmap images?
  • Do you publish to SWF (hope not) or HTML5?

Even a software sim can be in a responsive project, I presume that is not the case?

Did you rescale the project? It looks like you used a very big capture window, what was its size in px?
