Question

Web Object not working in Cp 13

Our company uses Kaltura to host our videos. I am trying to set up the Web object to point to video on the site ideally with the embed code. Unfotuantly that isn’t working, so I tried the URL, which gives me a messaga saying I need to authenticate. Then I tired using the URL to our internal website and recieved a “failed to connet” message. Finally I tried using You tube’s url thinking that mayber there was something happening with our internal site, but that said failed to connect as well. Is there a setting I am missing?

Thanks for any help in advance!

Following up on this, I think this may have to do with this “Check for Clickjacking: Click jacking is a threat to security and Captivate does not support redirecting to a different website.”

Everything within our company has to get past SSO and I think when Kaltura is trying to authenticate it tries to launch another website and new Cp won’t allow it. Note I can imbed in w web object with Cp Classic.

IF this is the problem, does anyone know a way to get around it?

Thanks for checking Dave! It looks like the only URL the slide video accepts are You Tube or Vimeo URLs since it tells me the the Kaltura link is not valid. That was why I was trying with the Web Object.

Any chance you could message (click on my name) me a Kaltura URL to test?

Thanks for the offer, unfortunatly everything we have on there is proprietary so I can’t share any links. Thanks again though!

I don’t have access to Kaltura but I used a YouTube video.

The embed code worked with a Web Object.

The URL did not work with a web object but did work with a Slide Video.

Note: I only published to my computer and previewed. I did not upload to a LMS.
