Web objects in Captivate 2017

I recently upgraded from Captivate 9 to Captivate 2017. I'm working on a project that I started in Captivate 9 and noticed that although I can see my web object in Captivate, after I publish it to HTML5 and view it in a browser, the web object does not show. We don't use an LMS. We upload our projects to a web server. Both my captivate project and the html file I'm embedding as a web object in my project are located in the same location on the server. This web object worked/rendered perfectly fine in Captivate 9. What happened?

Has your web server been configured to allow the JSON mimetype?

Have you tried uploading the same published output to a different web server to test?  (E.g. set it to be a SCORM and upload to SCORM Cloud to see what happens.  You're not testing the SCORM functionality per se, just testing whether or not the web object will work.)
