Question

What are the advantages of CP7 over CP6?

The reason I ask is another department here at work got CP6 right before CP7 release (Less than a month)  They are trying to get upgraded to CP7 but have been told by someone at cpativatehelp@adobe.com that CP7 and CP6 are compatible and you can take projects back and forth between them.

The reason this is important is we work with this department and we have CP7.

For arguments sake if someone has time to list what makes CP7 better I'd appreciate it so this other department can point out why they should be upgraded.

Thanks,

Susan

What I like most personally is that CP7 overall is much more stable, there are also small things that have been enhanced/improved but that list would be too long.

Popping in to warn you: it is mostly possible to open a CP7-project with CP6 but that doesn't mean that all functionality will be preserved. Just one example: if you are using advanced actions in the CP7 project, opening it in CP6 you'll end up with all actions lost even those that were not 'shared' which is a new feature.

Another big difference is TOC support when publishing your Captivate 7 files to PDF. That is not supported in Captivate 6.
