What canvas size should I use for my Captivate 8 eLearning project?

Hi everyone!

The maximum size for my e-learning project is 740x555, for it to fit the size of the LMS. The eLearning shall include a Table of Content and Skin editor, but of cause I want to use as much canvas as possible.

It was a while since I worked with Captivate, and has a fragile memory of the published version adds a few pixels. Is this still correct for Captivate 8?

What canvas size should I use to make the eLearning fit the LMS but still include the skin editor and TOC?

BR,

Madeleine

Are you talking about a normal or a responsive project? Is the TOC separate or in overlay? If it is separate it will add 250px to the width if you didn't change the TOC width which is now possible. Same for the playbar: is it in overlay or not? If it is not in overlay, the number of pixels added to the height depends on the chosen playbar. You can check its height by looking at the width of the bottom border in the Skin editor. That bottom border adapts to the chosen playbar.

Do you know if Captivate adds pixels after publishing?

If you take into account everything, don't forget the px needed for the browser or the LMS as well, I don't think extra pixels will be added.
