What causes audio to drop when recording a Video Demo?

I am using the trial version of Adobe Captivate.  I have recorded several on-screen videos and most times it records the audio with the project, but other times it does not. I have selected system audio before recording and can hear the audio when the recording is in progress. As I mentioned, sometimes it records, but not always.  I have not changed the audio (or any other) settings between projects, but I've noticed on longer demos, the audio is not captured as part of the project.  The only solution I've found is to re-record over in smaller projects which is undesirable.  Are there any functional limitations with the trial?

Thanks,

Lisa

Audio is producing large files, wonder if this is the reason for your problem. I rarely capture system audio in a Video Demo, and add the narration later on to focus only on the visual recording myself. Moreover I always capture in chunks for the same focus reason. You can add more recording within the same cpvc-file, by placing the playhead at the end of the first recording. It will be a new video clip, you can choose a transition, so some planning is necessary but in most instances you can find logical chunks in a software workflow. It allows me also to add some static objects at the beginning of each of those clips. Maybe I misunderstood, that you are recording several cpvc-projects instead of continue to capture in the same project?

As for your last question: the trial version is fully functional, no limitation except the expiry date that will exist in the projects.
