Maybe some examples tell more than a lot of writing. Have a look at my blog, lot of posts have small examples of eLearning content. Two examples:

    Drag&Drop in 2016 with Captivate 9 - Captivate blog

More is in a... hyperlink - Dropdown Menu - Captivate blog

Captivate has moreover great roundtripping possibility with Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition....

    Hi there

Captivate is used to create material presented to an audience. Similar to PowerPoint. But it has so many facets it's hard to describe.

Perhaps you want to record what happens with some software on your screen in order to demonstrate how it might work to a user that doesn't have the software installed.

Perhaps you also want that to perform as a simulation, so the end user can click to "operate" the software without having to actually install it.

Perhaps you need to convey company policy information to new employees. Then quiz them on it to ensure they have retained what they saw.

Perhaps that all needs to be uploaded to something called a Learning Management System so that users can log in and watch the material, then answer the quizzes and store their results for later use.

And perhaps you need to create all this content so that it can be viewed on any device. Phone, Tablet, PC.

Captivate can do all this and more.

    Hopefully that helps... Rick
