What is the character count allowed in a Short Answer question?

I am developing a long survey 80-90 questions. I am also asking some open ended questions so that I am able to get clients thoughts on specific topics. I have someone testing things and some of the answers ended mid sentence. So I am wondering if there is a character limit to Short Answers?

If this is the case, is there any way to expand this to allow a paragraph or two as an answer?

Also, I know this is a long survey and it could take some time to fill out. Is there a timeout for the survey? I do not have the time limit radio button sellected on the questions Quiz Properties tab. Will a long survey like this time out in my LMS (Litmos)?

I need to work through these issues before I give the survey to a paying customer so any thought would be greatly appreciated.

Does adjusting the height of the answer box allow more words/characters?

When are you noticing that the words are getting truncated?

I just copy-pasted (don't have the patience to type) 1,287 words into the Short Answer field and clicked Submit. When I came back to it by clicking the Review Quiz button from score slide, it had retained all of it.

I can't help with LMS-specific queries. But I suggest you upload your course to cloud.scorm.com to test it out. If it works as expected on that, then you can check with your LMS team about any difference in the outcome.
