Hi,

We have nearly completed our first products which we are doing for sale not for any one customer (so we are quite excited!)

Is there a list of what technical quality assurance checks people do before shipping a module? ( we do a separate User acceptance  cycle)

System requirements for running captivate 5 modules  : Are they same as for Captivate 5  especially the screen size and what version of flash ?

http://www.adobe.com/products/captivate/tech-specs.html

Different browsers - we were going to use  Adobe Browser Labs.

https://browserlab.adobe.com/en-us/index.html

Different operating systems : maybe use Windows 7 Virtual PC (windows 7, Vista, XP) and a MAC

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/default.aspx

FAQ Issues : and we were going to test against these issues

http://forums.adobe.com/thread/473021

Scorm : Is it worthwhile testing using scorm cloud or Moodle ?

Anything else  or do peopel mainly suck it and see ?

I think the first questions you need to answer are:

    • Who is your target user audience?  Why would they be buying your content?
    • What browsers are this target audience currently using?  (These are the browsers you'll need to support.)
    • What operating systems are they using? (These are the operating systems you'll need to support.)
    • What versions of Flash Player are they using, and will they be able to upgrade to newer versions if their current version is too old (e.g. pre FP 9.2)?
    • Will the audience or your management require course tracking and reporting?  (If so, you'll need an LMS, but the actual requirements for tracking and reporting will determine WHICH LMS you go for.)

The point I'm making is that your target audience determines a lot of factors about how your course content is constructed and delivered.  So what hard intel do you have on them?

Well, I think that there are several ways to answer your question. The simpliest is to hire some testing company, like this one http://qatestlab.com/services/we-are-professionals-in/server-service-testing/, for example. On the other hand you can hire several QA specialists in the location.
