What triggers "swf compilation failed"?

Windows 8.1

Lenovo ThinkPad w540

Captivate 8

I can get HTML5 to publish but I cannot get ANY swfs to publish. Not even a single slide blank project? I didnt touch a single thing in it??

I have tried these options: Re: Swf compilation Failed.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall Captivate 8

I have also tried to uninstall and reinstall Java....64 bit version...

NaDa....Please help!

    I appreciate the suggestion and tried this as well. Unfortunately, it didn't work either.

    To add to the confusion:

    Swfs are publishing just fine from Captivate6 (same computer)

    The problem is only in Captivate 8. I can publish to HTML5 just fine from a blank project or responsive project. But when I try to publish as a swf it wont let me.

    Any other thoughts?? I think it may be a CP8 / Windows8 issue??

    Hi there

    Are you running Captivate in Administrator mode?

    If not, perhaps that's why.
