Whats the difference between "Reporting to LMS as Score" vs "Reporting to LMS as Percent" when you are doing a quiz.

Im trying to decide whether or not to click the score or percent option. On my LMS I want to report a grade from the user.

Thanks

Correct answer Lilybiri

In 5.5 Accuracy is the same as the percentage on score. And AFAIK you'll not need the patch for 5.0.

I found a link on the captivate blog that talks about captivates reports scores and not the percentage. Although I have captivate version 5.5. I would like to report the percentage of this module instead of the score. do I still need to download the patch inorder to report a percentage?

Here is the link: http://blogs.adobe.com/captivate/2010/10/patch-to-fix-the-issue-with-reporting-percentage-scores-in-adobe-captivate-5.html

Lilybiri,

is the percentage based on the accuracy of your final quiz on the last slide. So if you receive an accuracy of 80%, does this reflect your percentage?

Cannot answer exactly, first have to know your version?

Why? Because in previous versions Accuracy was the percentage of correct answers to the total possible answers. Whereas the percentage reported to the LMS is the one calculated with the score. If all questions have the same score both are the same, but not if some questions have a different score. Hope I'm not confusing too much (maths is not a problem f

My version of captivate is 5.5. Well what I'm needing to report is the percentage of their score.

Hello,

I think you understand the difference between an absolute score (in points) and a percentage. To my experience which score will be reported better, depends on the LMS as well. For our Blackboard based LMS reporting percentage is way better than the score, but this will be different for other LMS's.
