When I record Captivate automatically increases my volume to level 100

Hi,

I am making a Powerpoint presentation where I need to record an audio for each slide. Every time I press record, Captivate increase my volume to level 100 automatically. At the moment I record and readjust the level whilst recording and then use editting tools in Captivate to cut the 'reajdusting process'. However, this is taking too much time and is very tedious. I know others have had this problem before. Is there no way to fix this?

By the way I have done everything from the Windows side of things like unchekcing the "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device".

Did you calibrate the microphone with Captivate? It would help if you mentioned the version you are using. Do not record audio in PPT, but in Captivate please.

Oh Thanks! Calibrate actually worked! It didn't work for me before. One thing I would add is that you can adjust the volume in the calibrate window if you don't like the automatic option Captivate provides you with.
