Question

When using Captivate Simulation, not all the screen shots are being displayed when previewing the project

I used the software simulation to record my project.  When amending the slides with captions and animated interactions, all the screen shots are visible.  As soon as I preview the slide, or the next 5 slides, or even the whole project, some of the screen shots are not visible.  You can see my interaction buttons by the highlighting over it, but the screen shot below it, is not visible - it recorded the screen correctly as you can see it when you cancel the preview mode.  How can I fix this, as it is only happening on a few slides.

PS.  I am trialling Adobe Captivate 9 - could this be the problem?

Regards

Software simulation is using the Blank master slide. Did you perhaps delete or edit that slide?

Can you also check if you find the 'missing' backgrounds in the Library? There is a folder 'Backgrounds' or you could use the right-click menu 'Find in Library' option.

Which type of app were you capturing?

Forgot: it is not due to the trial version which is not crippled at all, except for the fact that the projects when published are limited in time.

Unfortunately the backgrounds listed are exactly what is being displayed in the slides, as I didn't delete any, there are none missing.  But the background slide only displays the screen shot as is being displayed when previewed!?  So to clarify, screen shot has a menu outline pane with a list of choices within the pane outline, which you can select from.  This pane has an "OK" button to click, once you've made a choice from the menu - but the preview and the back ground shows the screen pane outline, but NO content to select from nor does the OK button appear !! but it is a screen shot of an image.  Really confused.  How can it just display part of a pane/window?  The next slide is after I've pressed "OK" in the simulator.  When you run the preview, you can  only see my highlight over the "OK" button, and my caption to "Click OK", but you cannot see the OK button or the content of that screen pop up.  You can see the document behind it and all my other captions.

Are you talking about a normal or a responsive project? I'm asking this because software simulations will automatically zoom for mobile breakpoint view.

Is it possible to answer my previous questions about the blank master slide, and the kind of app you are capturing? Some web-based apps are known to have issues?
