Question

When will Adobe add more interesting slide transitions??

More dynamic slide transitions have been available in MS PowerPoint for years and years.  Captivate really falls behind in this aspect.  Are there plans to package more?  Fade and wipe just don't do the trick anymore.   I love Microsoft's free moviemaker slide transitions!  Please give us some!  Thank you.

Maybe not the answer that you expect, but I never use slide transitions in an eLearning course. Mostly the user will not even see that there is a change of slides. Whereas I agree that transitions can be an addition for presentations, or in between video clips (is possible in cpvc-files), personally I don't see what that can contribute to an eLearning course? Powerpoint is a tool to create presentations, Captivate is an authoring tool for eLearning, that is a totally different goal. Sorry, you probably do disagree. More slide transitions will never be on my priority list for Captivate enhancements. Feel free to log a feature request if you want them, here is the link:

Wow, never use slide transitions?  Captivate is a tool not just to create interactive lessons, but also commercial videos to promote something.  I do more of the non-interactive.  These dynamic transitions are needed!  This is an eye opening very narrow-minded response IMO.  It seems you really need to understand all the ways in which professionals use Captivate.

"Slide transitions will never be on your priority list"?  What's the point of submitting an enhancement request then?  Rapid elearning developers want pre-packaged effects, whether it's slide transitions or animated effects (another area Captivate really lacks in).  If you're going to be so closed-minded about it, I will seek other tools that do offer these (seemingly basic) things.  I guess you don't care about Adobe's bottom line either.

Looks like Articulate Storyline believes in transitions.....

Wow disappointing.

I am just a user, think it can be interesting to have different opinions.

If you want video transitions, use Video Demo (cpvc) instead of a cptx

which is meant for interactive eLearning. My opinion is based on many years

of teaching and working with Captivate to provide eLearning assets to my

students. My goal may be different from yours, I gave you the link to enter

a feature request. Maybe if many users think the same way as you, the

enhancement will be done. Just told that for me I have a lot of wishes for

enhancements, slide transitions are not on my list. Hope this clarifies my

answer.
