Where did the download file go?

I downloaded a free trial of Adobe Captivate for Mac.

When I went into my finder window to open the application it isn't listed anywhere.

All of my other Adobe programs are listed together in the applications finder window.

I would love some help.  It's probably something really silly that I am missing.

    Installing the Captivate trial is normally a two-step process.  First you need to unpack the files and then you install.  Sometime people mistake the unpacking step as the install step.  You may have so far only done half the job.
