White Text Caption

A slide I use often is a white background with a 1/4" navy blue band across the top. I typically put the title of each slide in the blue area using a white text font.

To accomplish getting the white text on this blue background, I create a caption in white font with a transparent background.
When the caption box appears (where I enter my text) I cannot see what I am entering unless I change the color to some other font color, type my caption (to make sure it is correct), highlight the entire caption, and change the font back to white.

Is this a bug or is there an easier way to do this that I am not thinking about?

Thanks in advance!

I don't think this is a bug--it works the same way in Word when you put white text on a white background. I use the transparent caption/white text combo too, and I turn it into a little typing test/game for myself (yes, I need to get a life!). I usually just type the text as white-on-white. Then I highlight it to make it visible and double-check my entry before saving it.

Of course, most of the captions that I write this way have a small amount of text. If it was a long caption, I'd probably use your method.

If your blue is always the same color, you might try creating your own custom caption with that color as the background. Captivate Help explains how to do this, or you could probably find a post on this forum that would be helpful too.
