Question

Why am I getting a publishing error? (Swf compilation failed)

I have two separate courses that are now failing to publish. One of them published turning off HTML5 but it's not consistent.

I keep getting the following error: Swf compilation failed: Note: Please verify if any of the actionscript keywords is used as a variable name.

I'm using Captivate 9 on Windows 7, Service Pack 1.

I don't understand what caused it. I'm not using widgets, or video, or anything else outside of standard click interactions. One of them does download PDF document samples.

Any suggestions or assistance would be welcomed! Of course, this is days before a deadline.

Did you name objects or kept the generic names for everything?

Did you try to save and restart Captivate, the system? You could clear the cache, but while the project is open, so that you don't lose the cache (last possibility to have a backup file) for this project.

Do you run Captivate as Administrator (screenshot was taken for CP8, but in Win7)

    Are you on 9.0.2?
