Why are my downloaded Elearning Assets not showing in the Media>Characters window?

When I download a character through Captivate 2017 assets, it says it's downloaded and gives me the message that it is in the Elearning assets folder.

However, the new images are not being pulled into the Media>>Characters window for me to select after they download.

I checked the Elearning folder on my C: drive, and the downloaded image is there, but it is not showing up in the viewing window when I go to Media>>Characters.

It was working up until today.

Any ideas?

    Its happening to me too, I see them in the folder but cannot use them. Its VERY frustrating! Is there a way to import them as files directly from the file folder?

    It looks like almost all the files I downloaded from e-learning brothers are corrupt. Tried importing them as images from the folder they are in and Captivate says they are not supported (they should be png files, correct?) That really sucks.

    The files in the Elearning Assets folder can only be accessed through Captivate.  That has always been the case.  They are not configured to be opened with any other program.

    I'm assuming they do that to ensure you only use them in Captivate for licensing reasons.
