Why do buttons randomly go missing?

Creating a software demo using CP 9 under OS X El Capitan.........

On every slide, I insert buttons, assign styles and actions. Sometimes when I return to a slide later, the buttons are missing! Then I have to figure out what I did on the slide earlier, then do the work all over again.

Has anyone else seen this happen? This is nuts.

Are you using Smartshape buttons? Can you see the issue with any other type of button? Can you confirm whether these disappearing buttons are gone from both the Timeline and Stage area?

Also, are you seeing the issue after updating to El Capitan or did it happen previously, or with previous versions of Captivate?

This happens with text and smart shape buttons, and they disappear from the timeline as well as the slide. Good question. And this is the first time I'm using Captivate on the Mac and installed it recently, so I have no experience in previous versions of OS X. But I haven't seen this behavior in previous versions running on Windows.

Are you seeing the issue specific to a project? If so, can you share the project by uploading it to a shared workspace and sending the link to mdas@adobe.com

If the issue is happening with newly created projects as well, can you share your contact details to the same email address mentioned, so we can set up a meeting to investigate it on your system?
