Question

Why does Captivate make it so hard to add to question slides?

Hello,

I think it is cool you can add smart shapes, etc to individual question slides.  My question is, if this is allowed, why does Captivate make it so hard to place these shapes where you want to place them?  More specifically, why can't I lock or hide the question and answers so that I can click on my smart shape and move it where I want it to? As it is, we have to use the x and y values under "Options" to move the around for the most part.

I think if I understood the logic behind this, I would be less frustrated.

Which version are you using? I do not have any problems to move a shape on a quiz slide. You have to be aware of the fact that embedded objects on a quiz slide (they do not have an individual timeline) are always on top of the stack.

I am using 9.

Maybe I will just have to live with the problem.

It seems when I first add a smart shape / text caption to the slide it is placed under a question or answer and I need to use Options to move it from underneath one of the embedded objects.
