Why does Preview in SCORM Cloud not Play Flash?

How come when using the "Preview in SCORM Cloud" option does certain objects not display properly? For example, Rollover Sidelets? I'm assuming maybe becuase these are Flash based? So does this mean that LMSs don't support Flash when the content is being uploaded as a SCORM compliant package?

You can run the HTML5 Tracker to find all unsupported objects. It's under Project on the top menu.

Rollover slidelet will never play for HTML5 output. Rollover captions/images will play on desktop/laptop, but not on mobile devices. Responsive projects do not allow to insert any rollover object.  Problem is not with the LMS but with the browsers, soon desktop browsers will not make Flash Player plugin available anymore. That player is needed to play SWF-based content.

If you have an old LMS that supports only SWF output, you need to prevent the learners to use updated versions of the browsers.

Rollover slidelets are Flash-based and should no longer be used in any project.

The problem is not that LMSs don't support Flash.  It's that web browsers are not supporting Flash.

If you are going to be publishing your course to HTML5 you need to remove any Flash-based components or SWFs from your content.

    Hello Michael,

    Flash is dead.

Company are not going to be supporting a technology that is an orfan.

Publish the learning object to HTML5.
