WHY does project advance when click on screen

I have a responsive project. I disabled mobile gestures. I have a next slide smart shape that shows up at the end of the slide. But the slide advances no matter where I click.

I created a variable to count the clicks on the next slide button so that I can guarantee that the learners sit through all the training

WHY WHY does the clicking anywhere on t he screen advance the project?!!!

    OK 2 seconds later I figured it out. I have the attempts set at 1 if I set it to infinite then it works. Why this allows a click anywhere I have no idea.

    You should have checked the action 'Last Attempt', because that is what will be done when you didn't succeed to click on the shape button.
