Why does the content in my primary display not appear in my tablet/mobile display? I am having to retype everything

If I create a caption, or smart shape, or text box, in my Primary display, it is created in Tablet/Mobile, but when I edit the content in the Primary, the same content doesn't appear in Tablet/Mobile. And vice versa. So I am having to type in everything twice. This is really annoying and time-wasting. Is there are way to fix this? I am making html5 responsive projects.

    Which version are you using? It looks like you have broken the link, because at a certain moment you didn't start with editing Primary display.

    Captivate 8.0.1. I didn't know it was possible to break the link, so it looks like I might have to start again. Can slides be copied from one project to another, or would that risk carrying the "bug" to the new project too?
