Why is Adobe Presenter 11 freezing after syncing audio files from PowerPoint?

Attempting to sync simple narration (less than 2 min a slide,  20 slides) to Powerpoint presentation that is mostly text,  Presenter says "Import Complete" then is frozen, not able to save,  have to reboot and find that sync failed.
