Question

WHY IS MY VIDEO ALL UP ONE END?

HI ALL,

REALY hope you can help as this is bugging me out.

I have a slide deck (105 slides) and a video (33 minutes long)

I set up a new project using the powerpoint and then import the video as a synchronised file spreading it over the 105 slides.  So by my maths this should be a slide every 33seconds.

However when i go to edit the video timings the slides are every 3 seconds..  in other words they are spread over the first 300 seconds of the film.  Leaving the last slide to cover the final 1700 seconds!

This would not be an issue if i could simply "push" all the slides to where i need them, but each slide will only go as far as the next one.  So to move slide 1 to where i need it at 35 seconds i have to individually drag the other 104 slides out of the way.

Followed by slide 2 i drag 103 slides

3 102 slides..

THIS CAN NOT BE RIGHT!!!????    what am i doing wrong?  I have asked the live chat and they don't seem to know.   come on guys??

I have used both a Mac and a Windows 7 machine with the same issue I am using the latest captivate on a trial (8).

Thanks in advance

KR

Please don't shout, capitals means you are shouting. This is a user forum, no one likes to be shouted at.

Default duration of a slide is 3 seconds, and that is what Captivate has respected, last slide's duration has been increased to fit the video.

Before importing the video, you could go into Preferences, Default and increase the default slide duration.

Or you can manually move the slide markers with Video, Edit Time
