why text entry boxes with advance actions don't work

I recently got a new laptop at work and had to reinstall captivate 5, does this have something to do with the text entry boxes with advanced actions in my training simulations no longer working? Now, no cursors appear in the text entry boxes when I Iaunch the captivate project. Why?
