Question

Why won't my background music fade?

I added background music to a set of slides.  There are many video demo slides in this project, but the final slide is a regular slide.  But nothing I do makes the background music fade out; it just chops off.  From the menu bar, I use AUDIO, Edit, Background...I've set the fade to 4 or 5 seconds, I've set it to Loop...then set it to not loop...nothing seems to make any difference.   I've tried changing options on the slide itself.  Nada.  Any ideas?

The solution provided here with the advanced action works: Fade Out Object Audio

That fade in and fade out option on the Background Audio dialog ONLY applies to the very beginning and very and of the background audio clip. It doesn't make it fade in and out on slides that have slide audio.  It's a real pain that Adobe has never seen fit to fix this issue because it makes background audio totally unusable for any project where you want to include voiceover.  The effect of the background audio cutting in and out suddenly is far too jarring for the learners to put up with.

And here we are nearly two years later and it still isn't fixed.  Adobe...instead of adding new bells and whistles next year why not take one year to overhaul the program and fix all of the bugs and things that don't quite work as the should.
