Why would Captivate 8 crash every time I press the insert text caption button??

Captivate crashes every time I press the insert text caption button??

I needed to install a clean version of the software and now this problem has surfaced.

Does anyone have any advice??

When you say it "crashes" does it come up with an AppCrash dialog box or does it just stop responding?

The app just shuts down Rod and no dialog box appears either

When you 'installed' Captivate, did you delete the Preferences and Layouts folder, in case you had a previous installation?
