Question

Will Captivate 2 export to FLV?

I need to do what I thought was a simple thing. I need to create a Captivate 2 project where I import Powerpoint and sound, sync the sound to the slides, and export to FLV. I know that Captivate 1 won't do this -- I own the product. I've just downloaded the 30-day trial of Captivate 2, thinking that it would do this. So far, I can't see any way to export to FLV.

Am I just missing something? Help!

Steve

Hi Steve

I tried to provide a response where you added to the thread linked below:

While I appreciate you are keen for a response, multiple posting of the same question in different places doesn't help you gain a response any faster. Actually, it's also listed among the "Don't" section in the Forum Posting Guidelines.

As for Camtasia, they offer a 30 day trial as well. Why not download and give it a shot to see if it does what you want?

Personally, I see room in my toolbox for both products. And maybe it's just me and being "Captivate Centric", but I find Captivate hands down more intuitive and easy to use than I do Camtasia.

Just a thought... Rick

In another thread on this topic, I saw reference to Camtasia Studio. In looking at the Camtasia web site, it looks like it does this simple thing that I need. Has anyone used Camtasia for something along the lines of what I've described? I'm up against a deadline so am hoping for some quick responses....

Thanks,
Steve
