Will Captivate 7 be added to Creative Cloud?

Been researching into the new Captivate model and it'd be excellent for my business. As CC licence holder it'd be great to have it included in the package.

Anyone know whether this is something that will happen?

I am very disappointed to find than Adobe Captivate is still not part of Creative Cloud

I am paying a lot for the CC license, but still has to look for alternatives.

ok, so neither presenter nor captivate are a part of creative cloud?

rrrg. i am just trying to make a presentation and powerpoint's movie export is broken.

I can't understand why Adobe don't think creating e-learning is creative. I've got CC membership/subscription, and recently saw a trianing course advertised for using Captivate. I checked my CC and when I realised that Captivate is not available to me, I decided I'll be finding other software to do the job. I'm not even going to have a look at it.

I think Adobe are missing out on a lot of people like me!

Is Captivate creative? Here is what the Captivate home page says:

I am probably stretching just a little but it says, "All you need to create anything in eLearning. Rather a bold statement given the history of the eLearning Suite (sad to see it go). Now it is CC plus Cp7 plus Presenter 9 and Adobe is not recommending a subscription for Cp7 or Presenter 9. And, they Adobe (sales) rep I spoke with today said that subscriptions are for individuals and "hobbyists" not organizations or (implied) professionals. Yet the contradictory evidence is that everything is going to the CC subscription model. Since InCopy was just added to the Creative Cloud, the Adobe rep thought there may be hope for Cp7 and Presenter to get to CC some day but not for at least 6 months.

So, right now, the only way to get Cp7 is to buy it. It was recommended that we not subscribe to Cp7.

Perhaps you have seen this: http://www.adobe.com/products/elearningsuite/buyingoptions.html. I do not know the date of this page. It seems that we have to go CC to get what used to be in eLS and then buy Cp7 and Presenter to get "the rest of the story," a.k.a. the latest versions of those tools.

I recently bought camtasia because I was unaware of captivate. It'd be nice if it was included, it woud definitely make it more known and more used.

I would love that too but I don't think so. The difference is Creative vs. eLearning. Since Captivate is technically not a creative product, I think they are going to leave that out of the Creative Cloud model and try to continue to generate revenue separately.

I think it's a big mistake personally. If they could get Captivate in the hands of all the CC users, I think it would become much more popular because some people don't know what they're missing because it's always been set off to the side. Get it out there and I think the people will respond. Captivate can do some awesome things and I think creative people especially will see the value.

Just my humble opinion.

Why would ANYONE think that "Captivate is technically not a creative product"???!!

This product is used to create thousands of hours of learning content every week around the world. Adobe bundles Captivate with at least two other suites of creative products that include Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, etc.

It Captivate is not creative, Adobe is not a software company, and Taylor Swift is a guy.

I agree Rod but it was stated in the Captivate Webinar that they thought Captivate was in a different category (eLearning) than Creative Cloud and that's why it's not part of it.
