Will not preview

Has anyone had the issue where their project won't preview? I have a specific CP project that won't preview when I lcick on "preview, project"....it will preview when I click on preview "next 5 slides". I also opened another project and was able to preview it, but not this one. Any ideas what could be causing this? Thank you.

I have found the culprit. After trying many different things with the network and my local drive, etc. I thought perhaps it was a 'bad' slide, and it was indeed. After deleting the bad slide, the project previewed properly. I also recreated the slide in a new project, but it worked fine, so I still don't know what made the slide cause the problem.

Thank you, I read the thread...I'll give it to my Helpdesk. I am on a network and have been having issues regarding my cache (I cannot clear it; keep getting an error telling me that I can't have my cache in a remote folder. No matter where I moved it, I got that error). I would say the majority of us are on networks, so I'd hoped CP would be more network friendly.

Just about any multimedia application you could ever use will be about the same in this "network friendly" aspect.  They all encourage avoidance of working on project files or assets over network connections.  Ignore this advice at your peril. It's not the fault of Captivate.  It's just the nature of these types of apps that any glitch in network traffic while you are working on a project could easily corrupt it and cause you to lose work.
