Windows XP Permissions Problem when using Captivate Output .exe

Hi all,

I created a series of Captivate .exe files. I created these using Captivate 5 on a Windows 7 system. I used a third party menu builder (Camtasia) to build a front-end, etc.  Now, when I launch the CD on Windows 7 systems, I have no problems with it. The CD launches, and all of the executables work. However, when I try to use the CD on XP or earlier, the CD will launch, but when I try to launch the Captivate-generated .exe's, I get a Permissions error.

Has anyone else encountered this problem or have a solution?  Thanks!!

    Hi there

You said you used Camtasia to build a menu? So are you only seeing the issue when you try to launch from the camtasia menu? Or does it also happen if you try simply opening an EXE all by itself?

The thought here is to determine if the issue is with the EXE produced by Captivate or if it's somehow related to how the Camtasia menu is functioning.

    Cheers... Rick
