Does anyone happen to know if it's possible to put a YouTube link into a SCORMed file?

    Hi there

Can we clarify that a tad?

When you say "YouTube Link", are you talking about:

    * A link FROM a YouTube video TO a Captivate file

    Or...

    * A link FROM a Captivate file TO a YouTube video?

    Cheers... Rick

Thanks for the quick response. It's a link from a You Tube video to a Captivate file.

I know I can place it in Captivate.  I'm just not sure if there will be any issues setting it up for SCORM.
    Thanks for any comments.

Hmmm, I'm certainly no SCORM expert here. Hopefully one of them will pop in to either confirm my suspicion or advise how it's possible.

But from what I understand of SCORM, it would mean that some sort of Learning Management System (LMS) has to be in place. Typically, the LMS serves up the Captivate content. And it cannot do that unless an identified user has logged in with their credentials.

Because of that, I would think there would be no way for a YouTube video to know who was clicking the link to open the Captivate. Because once the link had been clicked, it would then have to log onto the LMS in order to see the Captivate.

    Cheers... Rick
