youtube widget problem

I'm having abnormal loading times inside a moodle site using captivate8-generated SCORM packages. Although we just updated our infrastructure, we're still having some issues loading the videos included with captivate 8 widget. So far I've isolated two possible things,

a) the slide with the videos is sending calls to a cast_sender.js file that is reporting me as missing on the www-embed-player.js file. What's this file used for and can i remove it without breaking apart the entire course?

b) Most of our users will be accessing the site from behind a corporate firewall that blocks most of the access to youtube. Is there any workaround to allow access just to this videos from a developer perspective without going into a lot of changes into the security preferences of the whole network?
