zoom area displaying white screen

I am using the zoom to zoom in on a book, but the zoom comes up with a blank, white screen.  Has anyone experienced this with Captvate 4 and how did you resolve it?

    Right click on your image and choose, merge to background.

    i did that too, but it still comes up with a white screen. I don't know

    what is going on.

    If you can merge the item you are zooming into the background.

    My pic is not in the background, not sure what you mean by "if I can merge".  Not sure what is happening.

    Does anyone have any suggestions on why this is happening?
