Zooming a video is just as long as the clip. So how can I merge them?

When I record videos I make quite some mistakes. I do not stop recording, but I will cut out the faulty pieces in captivate when reviewing the video.

The result is a video that consists of many clips, and that's ok.

But the zooming (which is really nice to do in captivate doesn't overcome the borders between the clips, and I absolutely wonder, why no One has ever programmed a

"Merge" -function, where you select contiguous clips in the timeline, and captivate merges them to be one.

That would save (me) lots of time.

What do YOU think and how do YOU cope?
